But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Three Weeks Old

Yesterday was Jack's two week appointment, and today he turns three weeks old. He is in the 95th percentile for height and 85th percentile for weight for a three weeker-he's gained two whole pounds since he was born!! He now weighs 9 lbs 13 oz and is 22.25" long. (At birth he was 7 lbs 15.6 oz and 20".) He's growing like crazy-growing into those feet! We think he's going to be a tall one like his Uncle Andrew!

The doctor and nurse commented on how 'alert' and 'bright-eyed' he is. Jack is always awake during the day and is taking in everything he can. He's very observant and seems to be learning so much all the time. He has gotten much more neck strength-we have fewer instances of him crashing his poor little head into our shoulders these days. His cord stump fell off when he was 16 days old, and today we took our second 'real' bath. Now that more of him can get wet, he really seems to enjoy his baths!

It's hard to remember what life was like without Jack, even though he's still so young. It's like we've had him all along, and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Here Jack is a few days ago after a bath.

And here he is wearing one of my favorite bibs!
