But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

HUGE Post

For such a little guy, Jack is really busy! It hasn't been too long since my last post (I know there are those of you that strongly object to this statement), but we have so much to add! I can't even begin to describe to you how much fun Jason and I are having as parents, and how much we love this little boy! We feel so blessed to have him!

Jack is such a good baby. For the first few weeks of his life I was slightly worried that he was going to give us a hard time for a while, but by the time he was six weeks old he was used to being on the outside and calmed down quite a bit. It is such a joy to be his Mommy!

This is Jason holding Jack at his first trip to the airport. Jason has his private pilot's license, and we had stopped to check out this particular airport so he could start to rent planes to get some more flying in. Soon Jack will go on his first ride with Daddy flying!

Later that evening we stopped to have dinner with our dear friends Andrew and Kelly. This picture was taken at their house...it was Jack's first trip to the Hunt's house!

This was taken at our house with our friend Nathan. He and his wife Nicole had come to see Jack and go to dinner with us. Jack was a sweetie the whole time!

Hiding is Jack's new favorite thing to do. He is so funny! He will pull blankets up to his face and peek out at me. Here he is one morning while playing with his toys. (This was taken after Halloween, in mid November. We are just still wearing the Halloween pjs.)

Hiding on Mommy and Daddy's bed is fun!

Peek-a-boo, here I am!

Here are my niece Makenzie and I. I was framing a picture of her to put in my house.

This is Jack at a friend, Dennis Boedeker's, birthday party. It was his first slice of bread! Yummm!

One evening Jack was getting fussy on the floor. I went and got his tub of stuffed animals and dumped them all around him, and he was happy right away. It was like he was saying "Geez woman, finally! That was all I needed!"

The next morning he took his morning nap on the floor with his stuffed animals. I had turned on the vacuum to clean the kitchen rugs and when I was done my little angel was asleep. He slept there for about an hour, right in the middle of the living room floor! (For those who don't know, Jack often fights naps, so this is something that has never happened before. And will likely never happen again.)

About six weeks ago Jack noticed Makenzie for the first time. Now when they are on the floor together they hold hands, pull ears, chew on eachother's arms, and steal toys. It is just too cute. It's like they are saying "Finally, someone who is my size!"

Jack's first time with the remote control. It looks like he's saying "Dad, I hope you don't think you're getting this thing back. "

This was taken on Thanksgiving. It is a picture of four generations of Falzon men. From left to right: Blaine (Jason's Dad), Jack, Phil (Jason's grandfather), and Jason.

Jack laughing with Paw Paw.

On Black Friday, we went out to get Christmas lights and stockings so we could decorate the house. A cold front had come through and it was in the 40s (cold for Texas) so we dressed Jack in the Columbia snow suit I bought him in Montana in March. TOO CUTE!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!
On Saturday, November 24, Jack got solids for the first time. He LOVED it! We gave him rice cereal and it took no time for him to get the hang of it. He was so good I was even able to hold him in my lap while feeding him, and he didn't get any food on me! Most of it made it into his stomach. (Again, Halloween pj's, not t.u. pj's.)

The next night we set up the high chair. Here he is being sweet to his monkey while in his high chair. Isn't he just so adorable?!

And, finally, here Jack is eating cereal in his high chair. By the third night of solids (on Monday) I wised up and am now feeding him topless so I don't have so much laundry to do! Don't you just love how he uses the snack tray on his high chair as a footrest. It's like he's in a little baby La-Z-Boy. And to clerify, he's topless during these feedings, not me.

Whew, boy am I glad you clarified that you were not topless when you fed him because that would just be weird. I'm loving the peek-a-boo pictures! Cute, cute!
