But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

A Much Needed Update

To my loyal Jack fans....I'm sorry it's been so long since my last post. As I'm sure you can imagine, little Jack keeps me quite busy these days. But I am finally sitting down to add a much needed update to the blog. Enjoy!

First Vacation!
Our Christmas present from Jason's parents was to go with them on a cruise over New Year's Day. It was Jack's first vacation!
A self-family portrait. Jack looks thrilled!

Jack in his stroller waiting for the elevator on the boat.

Playing on the deck of the ship, wearing a hat that was his Uncle Andrew's!

In the cabin at night (on his mom's birthday) with the towel elephant the steward made.

This one is priceless. This is right after we had gotten off the boat in Cozumel.

This is a shot of our ship from the street.

Jack's frist taste of an ice cream cone. Do you think he liked it?? His eyes are closed and everything, anticipating that wonderful creamy goodness...

Back at home now, looking too cute on the couch.

At the beginning of January Jack and I flew up to visit my Mom and Dad while Jason was away for the weekend. Here he is with Grandpa.

I take pictures of signs or bilboards that have Jack's name in them. Jack's Carpet, Jack FM...don't ask me why, I just do it. Here's the latest..

Jack was laying on the floor playing one night after his bath. I was sitting in a chair right by him, and he was playing with my pant leg. After a few minutes I realized he wasn't touching me anymore, so I looked down and this is what I found...

Yay for sitting up!

When we got back from vacation on January 3rd, Jack started sitting up by himself like he'd been doing it his whole life! Here is Jack's first time to sit in the shopping cart like a big boy. He LOVED it, and this is the way we shop all the time now! It saves me from having to lug by 18 pound 5 month old out of the car in the carseat every time we go shopping!

This one is too funny! I gave Jack a spatula in the kitchen so he'd quit reaching for the flour canister that is behind him in the picture. I guess he thought it was a good trade...
And yes, we're still wearing the Halloween pjs.

Here are Jack and Makenzie on their most recent playdate. It was the neatest thing...the first time they were really interacting..both sitting up, taking toys from eachother, grabbing each other's socks. How fun for them! (Makenzie is now 7 months old.)

This was taken this morning. While I was pouring my coffee I looked into the living room and saw that Jack was wiggling around in his bouncer, no longer paying attention to Mickey Mouse on TV-so I got the camera. I kept watching and he eventually had flipped himself onto his stomach and worked his way all the way down to the floor...and then got stuck. He looks so sad......
