But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

So this week it's back to life as usual...and I'm so excited! We've been having a blast lately, but since we've been having so much fun I'm exhausted!

After we got back from the Ironman I should have been catching up on cleaning and running post-vacation errands, but instead I was putting together a small surprise party to celebrate Jason's accomplishment. The party was on Saturday and was a blast. So now I'm doing all of those post-vacation tasks, a week late! And anyone who knows me well knows that when I have clutter and unfinished chores I get totally stressed!

Jason and Jack are also sick this week. Jack has a throat infection and Jason may have caught it. It always seems that those two are sick at the same time!

And-I have signed up for my first triathlon! I am doing a sprint distance race on August 16th at Lake Houston. It's called TriGirl--it's a race of only women to support women's participation in triathlon events (which like most sports is male dominated). I'm totally excited and am really enjoying my training. Well, more accurately I should say that I enjoy swimming and cycling and run because I have to! Running is for the birds! Especially when you live in a city with absolutely oppressive summer humidity! Here is the link to the race:

Anyway, wish us luck with everyone getting healthy again this week!
