But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

4th Post

You don't know this yet because you're still at the top of the page, but this is my fourth post tonight. That's what I get for waiting two months between posts. A lot happens in two months of a family's life (as I discovered when I took on this task two hours ago).

Jack and Makenzie trying to convince a turtle to come out of its exhibit at the zoo. How do you explain to two two year olds that turtles can't penetrate glass?

Jack, Kenz, and Rachel in a tunnel through an aquarium at the zoo.

Nemo!!!

First Day of School 2009
Gotta love those Cocoa Pebbles.

Muscles! Almost time for school!

All cleaned up and ready for his first day! Jack loves school. He constantly asks to go see his teachers. It's hard to explain to him that he only gets to go two days a week!

A few funny Jackisms-things he says these days that crack us up.
1. "I'm serious!!"
2. "No probwem."
3. Elevator and alligator are both pronounced 'alligator'
4. "Wikin Queen" instead of "Lightning McQueen"
5. "Mommy COME 'ERE!"
And something I noticed today, on HWY 59, going 65+ mph:
A Smart car enters the flow of traffic and begins to tail a box truck so closely that she looks like she's being towed by it. What is she thinking? Not only am I going to buy the world's smallest street legal automobile and drive it in TEXAS on the freeways, where most cars are six times my size, but them I'm going to follow a truck so closely there's NO WAY he will be able to see me in his mirrors. Good thinkin'.

I second Ashley! I'd love to see you in "real life"! High five on the Triatholon..that is completely impressive. How long did you train to get yourself ready for that? I feel like I would completely collapse! Jack is beyond cute. And jumping off the diving board??! WOW! That's awesome. I loved catching up on your life--thanks for all the great posts :)
