But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Our appointment yesterday went well! The baby is strong and healthy, and Rachel checked out well too. They repeated one thyroid test due to fuzzy results at 12 weeks, but other than that the appointment was completely routine, which is good!

So yes, our sweet little baby is a girl. And we are over the moon with excitement! In all reality, we were over the moon already. This little baby, no matter the sex, is the little baby that God wants us to raise. So far be it from us to be picky!

This is her profile. Her head is on the left and she is looking slightly towards you. Her little hand is up by her mouth.

This is a 3D image of her face. You can see little eyes and a nose, and her torso and arms. The left side of her face is obscured. The left side of the image is the wall of the uterus. The image isn't all that clear yet because she doesn't have much fat to conduct the sound waves. She looks a lot like Jack and Ryan already!

After the appointment Jason had to go back to work, and I went up to Kingwood to pick up Jack (where Mom and Dad had been watching the kids for us and A and R's place). After Mom and Dad left we went to Target to shop (of course). You can't resist shopping the day you find out the sex of your baby, no matter what it is! The kids were so funny! Jack and Makenzie had so much fun picking out clothes for their new little sister/cousin.

The first thing we picked out was a shirt for Jack, so he didn't feel left out. Pretty cool shirt, don't you think?

Rachel is the best bargain finder! This dress was just a few bucks on the clearance rack!

And a sweater to go with it (since she will be born in the winter).

These dresses are A-dorable!! And I love that all girl's dresses come with the little bloomers!

Ohmygosh, more cuteness! I had two skirts, this one with hearts and a solid pale pink one. I asked Jack which he liked more for his new baby sister, and he said the hearts! So he picked this one out.

A footed sleeper and onsie. The onsie says "I brighten my Daddy's world" on it.

Today after visiting a friend and her new baby we stopped to register at Target. Jack did really well for a boy picking out girl things! I found some really cute things, and am so excited to start to decorate the room with little girl stuff!
Here he is with his popcorn and Coke, ready to go!

I love several different crib bedding sets. For some reason I'm not much for characters or animals or pictures for a girl's room. I like the chic patterns. There are so many to choose from now! I guess there are lots of other moms with my taste! Here are the 5 I like best. Help me narrow them down!

Option 1
I love this paisley, and I love the bright colors! I like the idea of either pale pink or green walls with this one.

Option 2
I love the deep brown in this one, and the walls could be a shade of brown too.

Option 3
Similar to option 2. I'd probably do pale pink walls here.

Option 4
Love the circles! Again, probably pale pink or green walls.

Option 5
More circles, but this time with brown rather than the hot pink.

Thank you so much to Mom and Dad for the help with the kids yesterday and to Rachel for, well, everything!

On a completely different note, there is now an Ironman Houston in The Woodlands, which is only about 60 miles from our house. So needless to say, Jason has already signed up for the race! It's May 21, 2011. It will be such fun to have family and friends there to cheer him on! He has a race this Sunday. It's a sprint distance, so we should be able to be back in town in time for church!

Hmmm...all great choices! I love the black and pale pink. Having a little girl is so much fun! I am over the moon for you! What a blessing and answer to prayer.
