But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Happy Thanksgiving

A list of some of the things I am thankful for from the last week:

  1. My daughter is sleeping on my chest right now!
  2. I have an awesome son who loves being a big brother. And he's so good at it. But he thinks he's 13 and not 3. "Mom, I can carry Sarah to the living room." Haha, yeah right.
  3. Rachel is feeling really well. She's such a sweetheart, and I'm so happy the pregnancy and delivery went as well as they did.
  4. Jack has learned to pump. In the swing that is. And if you're a parent or a preschool teacher you understand the value of this skill. Pumping the swing is epic, and makes me love the playground so much more!
  5. Sarah is eating like a champ, no matter what we feed her. We've tried a few different formulas with her and of course the breast milk, and she seems to like all of it. She's gained 4 oz this week. Today at the doctor she was up to 6 lb 1 oz.
  6. Sarah is a dream baby. A dream baby! She only cries when she's hungry or has a big burp or is cold after the bath. Which comes out to about 10 times a day for about a minute each. Seriously. And she's already sleeping in her crib. On her back. Only waking up to eat. Seriously??
  7. It took about 1.6 seconds for our daughter to wrap her daddy around her teeny tiny little finger. SO adorable.
  8. All the little fears I had in the back of my mind about bonding were needless. She's taken to us without a problem and of course we are in l-o-v-e with her.
  9. Our wonderful church family provided meals for our family and Rachel's family for the week. Yummy!
  10. Our family and friends are so excited about Sarah and our family of four. They were such a help this week.
  11. I'm so proud of my sweet husband. He gave his testimony at church on Sunday and I heard he did a great job (I was at home with the peanut). I think Bill recorded it and I'm so eager to hear it.
  12. God loves me. :)
