But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Amendment

After I finished my post this afternoon I thought it seemed short. Then I realized that it was...I had left out several pictures. So here's an amendment to my first post....

Sarah is now 11 weeks old! At her 8 week appointment she checked out great. Here are her stats:

Height-22", 50th percentile
Weight-10 lbs 12 oz, 25th percentile

So she's tall and skinny, like her brother and her dad! I checked Jack's 2 month appointment measurements the other day to compare, and she's so much smaller than he was! Jack was 95th percentile, 25" and 14 lbs at 2 months. He was 30% bigger than she is! I won't lie....I've been loving the fact that she's staying small longer...I love having a small cuddly baby!

Sarah is a very social little thing. She is always smiling and cooing these days. She now recognizes all three of us and lights up when we look at her. She's still very content, usually only crying when she's hungry, sleepy, or lonely. She's been sleeping though the night for a couple of weeks now, and the last three days she's slept 12 hours! She's also very strong. Since she was about 4 weeks old she's been supporting weight on her legs. She can now support her own weight completely, and we just hold her sides for balance. As for tummy time though, she has NO interest. I think it's hilarious...it's like she's laying there waiting for a masseuse to come along and rub her back! Why lift my head when it's so comfy on my stomach??

When I was teaching, the gift from the art teachers for Jack was a raw plate that they decorated after he was born with his footprints. When Sarah was born I wanted to have something similar for her, so last week I took her to the Mad Potter to make her footprint plate.

Very frustrated I couldn't get this to upload right side up!

Before Andrew's surprise party in San Antonio (see previous post) we went to the San Antonio Zoo. Sarah snoozed on the zoo train.

I talk a lot about our kids, so I suppose I should probably fill you in on us too! Jason and I are doing well. We are loving the time we are able to spend with friends and family and feel very blessed to have such a wonderful church. We are both on the praise team, and we are having a concert on March 26th with another church. It's going to be so fun! Jason's also training for his next Ironman. He's scheduled to do Ironman Texas in May, and this will be his third one. As for my workouts...that's something else I need to fit into my schedule! I'm planning to do a race in May. It's a short one though, so even if I don't get the training in I still plan to do it.

As the second anniversary of the accident approaches, I feel like we're in a good place. We're closer to the Lord than we've ever been and we're blessed with so much. We know where Ryan is, and we look forward to getting to see him someday.
