But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

My feelings towards Ford right now, in a nutshell:

Last week while driving Jack to VBS (yes-my baby is old enough for VBS! But that's another story entirely. Don't get me distracted.) I had to slam on the brakes so I didn't rear end some not-so-intelligent drivers. During the slamming of the brakes a little coffee spilled onto the console. No biggie. At the next light I used a few napkins and a wet wipe and cleaned it up.

The next day when I got in the car to put it into drive, it took 90 attempts (yes, I said 90) to get my car out of park. The problem got worse as the day went on, so last Friday I took it into the dealer to have it worked on assuming it was a warranty issue. Jason and I had figured out I could get it out of park if I stepped on the emergency brake first, but not when I just stepped on the regular brake. The guy called a couple hours later and said that the coffee had leaked down into the gear shift and was sticking it closed. SERIOUSLY? It was, like, one ounce of coffee that spilled, most of which stayed on the console. But apparently when 1/5 of an ounce of coffee leaks down into a Ford gear shift it turns into this:

Or maybe this:

Yes, of course they make a replacement part. And by "they" I don't mean Ford, I mean a vendor. But the vendor is out of stock of shifters in the entire US! They're having to order the part for my FORD from outside the US! Sheesh. So after holding my car hostage for the weekend, they've ordered the part. Now they've sprayed some electrical cleaner in it to loosen up the gunk a little until the part comes in, but they advised me not to put the car into park when I'm out just in case it doesn't come back out. Don't want to be stuck in the parking lot with my two kids unable to move my mountain of a car. Nope. That would not be good. SO, when I stop somewhere, I have to put the car in neutral and set the E brake. Thing is, though, when the car is in neutral the key won't come out. So I have to leave the key in the ignition all the time. Might as well get a sign that says "Free to Anyone Who Can Break a Window." Times are tough. I'm sure I'd have some takers.

So after all that, I need some of this:
