I have let a lot get in the way of updating my blog. Want to hear my excuses? Here they are: 1. I NEVER take the time to sit down and upload pictures to my computer from the camera. 2. Jason now takes the laptop to work, which is where I used to do my updates from. The desktop is in a back room where supervision of the children is impossible. And from what I hear supervision is important. And seriously, all they really are is excuses anyway.
But, hello, mamma just realized there's a Blogger app for iPhone. Yay!!! So I'm back! As I'm sure most of us little mommies do these days, I take most of my photos and videos with my phone anyway, so this makes it so simple. And I don't have to be at home to update. Perfect! Today I'll give you a kid update, and I will catch you up on Jason and I later this week.
Jack:
Jack is now almost 5 and is doing great. Even though he's the youngest kid in his Pre-K class, he's right where he needs to be academically for Kindergarden. He's sounding out simple word and doing simple addition. So we're enrolling him in the private Kindergarden program at his current school for next year. That way we have another year to see how he does as the youngest boy. If he still seems a little less mature than the older ones, we can have him do K again in public school the next year. I'm so proud of him, he's doing so well!! And he also started t-ball this spring! He's doing great there too. Good hitter. Strong thrower. And you can bet I'm the loudest mamma at the ball field. Loud and proud I like to call it. :-) He's such a sweet big brother too. He loves to take care of his sister and help her learn new things. The other day at the park an older boy was being rude to her, and Jack said "Hey, don't say bad words to my sister!!" Apparently the other boy had called Sarah "stupid."Already protecting her. So cute!
Sarah:
Our little Sarah is 16 months and is quite the cutie. She has everyone she meets wrapped around her little finger. Adorable!! She still isn't talking a whole lot, which can get frustrating at times for us and her. She says "ma, dada, dog, and eeedy" (which means "pretty"). She also says "me" and "mi" for milk. And let me tell you, the girl is a little daredevil. She will go down the slide by herself and can now walk up and down the stairs on her own. She's a cautious daredevil though, evaluating the risks before she takes off. Also, the girl LOVES shoes and loves to dance. I never have to worry about her taking her shoes off in the car seat. She will wear them all day long, even through a nap. Hahaha. And that dancin, holy moly. Unlike her brother, she doesn't care at all who's watching. Turn on the radio and little girl busts a move every time. Pretty much the cutest and funniest thing ever!!
We are quite blessed as a Mom and Dad. Can't ask for more in babies than what He's given us.
