But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

It's been a while...

Life has been pretty crazy the last couple of months for us, so I haven't been on the blog much....which is nothing new.  Seems like I go on stints.  For a while I update all the time, then I go months between posts.  What can I say....I'm blond like that.  Chemically of course.  ;-)

SO, the news in our house is that I have stared a new business!  I've really been enjoying getting our house all settled and decorated this past year, and I decided that there MUST be a way I can make a few bucks doing this since I like it so much.  So I started Off Her Rocker, a custom furniture refinishing business!!  It's only been a few weeks now, but I've already sold a total of 5 pieces of furniture!  A coffee table, three end tables, and a rocking chair (hence the business name).  I really enjoy geting something ugly for cheap and making it fabulous!  And the people that buy my pieces are always so excited and happy--it's almost like being the ice cream man!!  Just today I delivered two end tables to a mom in Pearland....a mom of 5.  Four girls and two boys.  Wait, it gets better.  18 year old girl, triplet 3 year old daughters, and TWIN 18 month old boys.  AWESOME!!  She was so happy that I offered delivery because it's rather difficult for her to get out of the house.  I can only IMAGINE.

Our friend Nathan is setting me up a true blue business page today.  Until it's up and running, you can see my stuff at http://www.facebook.com/offherrockerfurniture.  Right now I'm working on a sideboard that I got at Goodwill in ROUGH shape for $25 and a bookshelf I got at an antique store for $35.  I also have an order from a lady to do a coffee and end table for the formal living room in their new house.  Busy busy!  Love it!

SO, go check out and like my page!!  Can you tell I'm just so excited!
