But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Back By Popular Demand

I know, I know. It's been a long time. I hope this post finds everyone doing well. We are doing great! Jack is now eight and a half months old and brings Jason and I such joy!

I didn't realize how many people checked the blog until I went 6 weeks between posts! I've been getting emails and comments for a while now to update, so here it is! And since I now know that so many of you check the blog, please please post comments! Having comments keeps me motivated to post more often.
One evening Jason and I took Jack for a dinner picnic...
This is Jack playing in the bathroom while I got ready. Before he could crawl it was easy to let him play like this. Not so much any more.

Poor Wiley....

Ok, this one needs some explanation. Jack puts himself to sleep these days. Now that he knows how to sit up, when I put him in his crib for a nap he will usually sit up and either cry a little or play. On this particular day he had started playing. He must have realized, "Geez, I really am pretty sleepy...." and proceeded to lay his torso down on his legs and fall asleep! How in the world that was comfortable enough to doze off I have no idea. (Don't worry, as soon as I took the picture I put him on his stomach!)

This is Jack on Easter Sunday at church.

Too cute not to post. Turns out my dad says this one looks just like he looked as a little tike.

We recently took Jack for his first trip to the zoo. He rode on Jason's shoulders a lot, so he could see everyting much better than he could from the stroller.

Are we noticing a pattern here?

Whoo hoo! Jack first pulled up about two weeks ago. I was doing dishes and he came over and pulled up on the dishwahser door. Yay Jack! He gets so happy when he pulls up too, as I'm sure you can see from that huge grin!

Earlier this month our friends Nathan and Nicole invited us to Nicole's parent's lakehouse on Lake Livingston. I decided this trip would be Jacks virgin voyage on the tube. Yes, he is asleep. Note even two minutes after the boat started pulling us he zonked out in the tube of all places. The kid really can sleep anywhere!

This was just too perfect. Jason and I always call Jack our 'Little Monster' and there happened to be a sailboat in the marina with that same name!

Jack's first baseball game! Opening day at Minute Maid Park! Man, it's bright out here!

And loud too...especially for a very sleepy little boy....

Got a second wind there for a minute...

The down for the count. I told you he could sleep anywhere!

And pulling up in his crib like a big boy.

That is ABSURD that he can sleep anywhere like that. Sitting up, in the inner tube--what the heck?!? That would never happen over here!! Abby is far too nosy to lay her head down with all those people around. She's fallen asleep in my arms once in the mall in Baton Rouge, but she had been awake for like 8 hours straight, so she finally caved. Love the Easter outfit, too. Such a cutie. Abby sends her kisses :-)

I, too, am a blog stalker, so thanks for updating! :) Jack is really growing up! You've got one cute kid on your hands. I like the picture of Jack and Wiley! Olivia loves Lupe and always reaches out for her. Lupe just sits there and takes it...and it looks like Wiley does the same thing!
