But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Fun With Jack at Home and Away

First let me update you on the pregnancy. I am still in what I have dubbed the "big lunch" phase. I'm not really showing yet, I just always look like I've had a big lunch. You know, when you have just a bit of a pooch below your belly button after that trip to the Cheesecake Factory? That's me...I always look like I just left the Cheesecake Factory.

I am still feeing pretty nauseated most of the time, but luckily no tossing of the cookies yet. And I don't mind the nausea so much because I know many women have it so much worse. And, in the end, I get a great prize for all of my toil and trouble!

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday (10 weeks) and everything looked great. I got to see the baby on ultrasound and it is already getting so big! It has both arms and legs, hands, feet, toes, and fingers-and thank goodness the tail is gone! Now on to the pictures!

Jason and I have been having so much fun with Jack lately! His little personality is coming out more and more each day. He's not our little baby any more, but he's not quite a "toddler" yet either-he's somewhere in between and we are loving it! Don't get me wrong, this budding personality certainly comes with some strong will and temper tantrums....but what kid doesn't?!

One of Jack's new favorite things to do is take a shower. He hardly takes a bath any more, we just wash him in the shower.

LAS VEGAS
Jason had a convention in Las Vegas at the beginning of the month and Jack and I got to go. What a neat town!
We forgot Jack's toy dog at home, so he got to pick one out on the first morning we were there. We put him on the floor and let him play with all of them until he found a favorite.

And the winner is....a stuffed dog that looks just like Wiley!

Bet you can't guess who was playing at our hotel? That's a 15 story picture of Donny and Maire. Bet you didn't know that could be done. I sure didn't.

The Bellagio, made famous by Oceans 11, 12. 13...how many are there now anyway? I couldn't help walking through the casino wondering if Brad or George had been in that particular spot. Too bad they're sure to vote for Obama (sorry to my dem friends).

The pool at our hotel was so neat, but SO cold! Jack wouldn't go in past his waist, and neither would I. Jason wouldn't get in at all!

Found a jet...

A $7 bowl of Mac and Cheese. Looks an awful lot like a $2 box of Kraft to me!

The Bellagio has a lake in front of it, and in th afternoon and evening they have the neatest water jet shows. Here we are watching a couple.

Back at Home.

Last Thursday Jack had an unfortunate incounter with his juice cup. The result was a black eye. Best not to drink and walk at the same time! Oh, and it looks so much worse today. I'll have to take another picture soon. I'd take one to post now but he's taking a nap.
