But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

On August 16th I finished my first triathlon! I Jason finally convinced me that I should give it a try-and I ended up really liking it. It was a lot of fun. This particular race was all women, so there was a cool feeling of support between all of us girls.

Here I am in the center of the frame waving just before the start of my swim wave. It was at Lake Houston.

Here is my finish. Finally done with the run (I HATE running-probably because I'm horrible at it).

At Grandma and Grandpa's in early August with Rachel and the girls. Here are the big kids getting a ride on Grandpa's back. Maddie loved this!

Maddie's saying "What are you guys doing to me?"

I think this is SO funny. They are laying in the bed Makenzie sleeps in at Mom and Dad's reading books like two old married people!

Eating Popsicles in the pool with Grandpa.

This was too funny. Jason had to work on a Saturday and I had to drop Jack off so he could watch him so I could go go Becky's baby shower. Jason left for work at 5 am while I was still sleeping so I hadn't seen what he was wearing. I dressed Jack in practically the same outfit four hours later!

Jack's second birthday was July 31, and on August 1 we had his party. It was so much fun! We rented a GIGANTIC slip and slide and played on it for literally about 8 hours. And I don't use the term literally lightly.

At first Jack was afraid of the slide, but after a while he warmed up to it and LOVED it. Here are he and Nathan.

Cute Kenzie.

Cute Maddie.

Jack's Cars cake. Didn't they do a great job!?

Jack pretending to sleep on the new sheets Grandma and Grandpa got him for his birthday. I mean come on, don't we all sleep with our guitars?

About to blow out the candle, me in the corner of the picture demonstrating the technique. Don't you love how the icing melted off the cupcakes I made him? Good thing Julie's Cakes came to the rescue!

That picture of him and Mackenzie is priceless-maybe one of the cutest pictures I have ever seen.
