Name Disclaimer:
We are pretty sure we are going to name the baby Sarah, so I'm going to take the name for a trial run today. We (I) haven't completely decided yet, so I want to see how it sounds in this post. :)
Jack must pick up anything smaller than he is. Must. Whether it is a dog, a cat, or a person, if it weighs less than 36 pounds he has an uncontrollable urge to pick it up and carry it. Watch out Sarah!

Couldn't help but post this one. He came out one day dressed in underwear and a winter hat and gloves. He had the right idea. If he was going to be wearing a winter hat and gloves in June, he'd need to be cool everywhere else. :)

This is Jason finishing the Y-Tri in Pearland in June. He finished 1st in his age group and 3rd overall out of about 450 total competitors. Yay Daddy!
Nathan came out that morning to watch.

We spent 4th of July weekend in San Antonio with our good friends Andrew and Kelly. Here are Jason and Jack relaxing on the couch.

Jason went on a long run on Saturday morning and needed an ice bath afterwards. Jack thought it was a regular bath and was ready to jump right on in.

We spent the evening of the 4th with Kelly's mom's side of the family at the lake.

Pat Green came on the radio, so my sweet husband danced with me Texas Aggie style. Just like the good ole days.

Kelly, Andrew, and Jason laughing at Jack. If you look real close you can see Kelly's baby bump. She's due December 18th with their first.

Jack was a little freaked by the fireworks. Here he'd run to Andrew for protection.

When Hurricane Alex came ashore in Mexico, we got days and days of rain out of it. Jack loved the rain coat Aunt Shannon got for him...it's a fireman's coat!

Michele's birthday is July 8th. Jack painted her a mirror. His teachers last year made the kids personalized painting smocks. Too cute!

Helping Nana blow out her candles.

The weekend of the 9th we went to visit my parents. Here are Jason and Dad on the floor while Jack throws balls at them!
Kissing cousins!

Jason took the little kids for rides on the motorized scooter Rachel won at the children's fair in Houston.

Nathan and Maddie having a pow-wow on the balcony.

Nicole, Caleb, Sarah, and Rachel.

Jason's cousin Laci's graduation party.

On the way home from Southlake we stopped at Andrew and Rachel's for dinner with friends.

(We took Jack to the Aquarium downtown.)

I painted a dot border in white and brown around the ceiling, mirror, and switch/outlet covers.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I wanted to redo the kids' bathroom. I finished it late last week. I don't consider myself much of a creative person, but it ended up turning out really cute! Jack loves it and he tells me he's sure Sarah will too.
Shower curtain and rug.

I spray painted his brown step stool white and added dots in the wall color and brown.
Rachel is feeling better this week after a rough couple of weeks. She's been having headaches and had some sort of a stomach bug the weekend of the 9th. She ended up having to go to the hospital for a few hours so they could hook her up to an IV to give her fluids she lost during the illness. Fortunately she pulled out of all of that ok and is now doing better. She says Sarah is really active, which will be a perfect companion for Jack (exhausting for Mommy though haha). I've even gotten to feel her move a few times. We are 22 weeks today and Rachel has a checkup tomorrow. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by!
Had to leave you with a smile. Dairy Queen style.

Great Update! Tell Kelly and Andrew congrats!
Love all the pics and especially the one of Jack and Mackenzie on the floor close up. Adorable. Will you send me a facebook message or leave a comment on my blog and tell me how you did those dots? They look awesome!! I would love to do something like that on some furniture in my classroom.
You and your family make me happy :) Glad you are doing so well!
