We had an appointment yesterday and Rachel was 2 cm dilated and still 80% effaced. Dr. Schroeder said Sarah can come any time! I'm crossing my fingers she'll make it to the induction date though; or be born this coming week. Jason gets home from Atlanta tonight and is home for the week. Then he leaves on Saturday at 3ish to go to San Antonio for his marathon with our old friend Erik. The marathon is the morning of the 14th and he will come back right after. He plans to be gone less than 24 hours. I know God has a plan for her in mind though, and if she happens to come at a time that isn't all that convenient for me, I'll get over it!
Question: For those of you who formula fed your babies-what type of water did you use to mix the formula? I'm going to ask the pediatrician if I can remember. I know the water shouldn't have too much fluoride in it, but I also know that no fluoride is bad too. So did you use tap or bottled water? Rachel has been nice enough to offer to pump for Sarah for a while, but I plan to formula feed some of the time so that Sarah will be used to it when I run out of Rachel's milk. I'm in the process of trying to relactate, which is when someone who has already breastfed attempts to induce lactation to nurse a child she didn't carry. It's not going all that well though. I haven't had a drop of milk yet and have been pumping now for about two months. Kind of frustrating, but that's another story entirely. And I'm just too tired for that....

When we used formula, we bought nursery water. It is specifically made for formula fed babies. When our babies got a little older, like 6 months, then we started using the water that comes out of the filter in our refrigerator. We would fill up a gallon jug and leave it on the counter so it would be at room temp, and then just keep refilling it as needed. Hope that helps!
