But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

As I go through my Bible study each week I have been trying to pay close attention to what I think God is trying to say to me through His word. I'd like to be able to share those particular verses that mean something to me as I study, so occasionally the verse at the top of the page will change. This week I was struck by Philippians 2:3-4. It helps remind me that we are not here in this world for our own interests, but to encourage others in Christ. It's often hard for me to see beyond what is right in front of my face, and I know that I need to make more of an effort to do just that. So much power in just a few words!

Hi there! My name is Shannon. I stumbled upon your blog tonight & the bible verse you have quoted caught my attention. I have been struggling a little in my faith & have been praying for God's guidance in directing me toward Godly women to surround myself with. Whether this is a sign from Him or not, I still want to thank you for witnessing through your blog. We have a little in common- I too have a baby girl (7 months) & a little boy (turning 4 in a month & a half.) I hope you don't mind that I became a follower of your blog. It's just kinda fun to read about family oriented, Godly women & it looks like you are probably both of those things. :) Anyway, have a great weekend!
