But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Sea World

Right after Jack's birthday, August 1 and 2, Jason took a day off and we took Jack to Sea World. It was SO much fun! I think Jason and I had just as much fun as Jack did. He really loves sea life right now, so we knew Sea World would be the perfect place. We've taken him once before, about a year ago. He remembered it a little bit, but this time he was able to do so much more. It was a blast.

The first thing we did was buy the little fishies to feed the dolphins. This guy greeted us when we came up to the wall.

I love this picture of Jack touching the dolphin's snout.

At 40" Jack is finally tall enough now to start to ride some amusement park rides. Here are Jack and I in the second car at Shamu Express. We also took him on Journey to Atlantis, which is similar to Splash Mountain at Disney World-a big boat with a long steep drop into a "lake." He was exactly tall enough for that ride, which I couldn't believe! It was kinda scary!! But he wanted to go again when we were done. He's 100% boy I tell ya!

In the wagon when we stopped for lunch. FYI to those reading with small kids, I absolutely recommend the wagon at Sea World. Not only could he ride when he was tired, but we didn't have to carry our bag either.

After day 1. Asleep in the car before we even got to the highway.

Day 2
At the front entrance. It took 7 shots before I got one where he was looking and smiling.

Jack was also tall enough for the tube rides at the Sea World water park. He LOVED these, which also surprised us. We rode down in a line, me first, then Jack, then Jason. When I was going down and getting thrown back and forth in the tube I was freaking out-I was afraid of what Jack's reaction to the ride would be. When he got to the bottom he said: "That was AWESOME! Can we go again??"

And on a tamer kid slide:

With Daddy bringing up the rear.

Sarah Update
We are now about 27.5 weeks. Rachel isn't feeling so hot again, probably because of her glucose levels. She was borderline on her glucose test and has to go in and do the long 4 hour glucose test. Say a prayer for us that even if she has gestational diabetes, it will be easily controlled and not lead to any complications. Sarah is doing great in there though, measuring right on schedule. Just a few short weeks to go!

P90-X Update
So far, after day 2, I am really enjoying the workouts. They are challenging and fun, and there are a lot of exercises in them that I've never done before so I'm not getting bored. I'm not going to lie and pretend like I'm some Xena Warrior Princess that's not sore though. Pretty much every major muscle group, and several minor ones, hurt like I was drug behind a bus for a couple of blocks. And if I was doing this two years ago, I probably wouldn't stick with it. But I have more determination now than I ever have, so I'm going to "keep hitting play" as the annoying guy says on the DVD.
