But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

The Old Days

I was going through some pictures from the old days today. You know, the old days, the days before digital cameras. Well, some of these pictures brought back some good memories and tickled me a little bit, so I thought I'd share. Hope you enjoy too!

This is the only picture I have in our house of Jason as a little kid. (I think he likes to forget how big his classes were in elementary school.) From L to R are his grandpa, his great grandpa, and his dad Blaine.

Yours truly in September 1987 just before I turned 5. We were on the water ALL the time as kids. We learned to ski a year after this was taken, when I was 6 and Andrew was 4.

The little bro. He was about 6 here, on the boom before he learned to slalom behind the boat.

Now we fast forward about 10 years. This was the first day of my senior year of high school. Andrew was a sophomore.

In the fall of senior year Andrew and several of my girlfriends went to see the Tim McGraw/Faith Hill concert in Dallas. L to R are me, Andrew, Meggie, Andrea, Tara, and Katie. Such great friends, what a wonderful time!

Tara's 18th birthday, Valentine's day 2001. Around the table L to R are Andrea, Lindsey, Meggie, Tara, Keri, Katie, Jen, and JP.

Our crew of girls for prom. Tara, Meggie, me, Michelle, and Katie.

Choir banquet. Alexis, me, Tara, and Rachel.

Just before going to my graduation. Andrew, my mom Brenda, me, and my dad's mom, Grandma Aileen

Gig em Ags! Here are Dad and I after my fam helped me move into the dorm.

Awww...this is the first picture Jason and I ever took together. We were at a water ski tournament awards banquet in Louisiana.

Garner State Park Summer 2002. Becky, me, Christy, Carrie, Stephanie, Ashley, and Alyssa. That was a such a fun trip. SO thankful to the Riveras for putting up with us girls for the week.

Fightin' Texas Aggie Water Ski Team at Nationals in the Fall of 2002. Jason and Kelly are on the left, and Andrew Hunt and I are next to each other left of center. We won the National Collegiate Water Ski Championships two years later.

Ski team girls Spring 2003 at a tournament in Arkansas.

The summer I was 14 and Andrew was 12 our parents built a cabin in Montana that we visited several times a year thereafter. Here are Andrew and I Spring Break 2003 on a snow mobile trip just a few miles from the cabin. Jason was on this trip...it was his first trip to MT. Fun times!

July 2004, just a couple of weeks after we got engaged. Look how young we look (especially Jason)! I can't believe we were old enough to be engaged!! I was 21 and he was 20.

Me, Jason, and The 30. "The 30" are the 30 pounds I gained in about three months when we were dating. Jason: "Hey honey, wanna stop at McDonalds on the way to the ski late?" Me: "Sure!" This conversation happened at least three times a week for that three months.

Jer and Jason rehearsing in Jer's room at their townhouse in college.

My graduation, May 2005. Jeremy and I are about the same height, so we shared a cap and gown rather than having to buy two. (We graduated on different days.) Here he and I are posing in the gown together.

The fam outside Reed Arena.

Astros in the World Series, Fall 2005. They lost every game, but it sure was fun! Here are Jason and Shannon. She was 12.

Rachel and Andrew August 2006 at Mom and Dad's.

Mommy and me. :)

Jason wake surfing on Lake Houston summer 2006. I plan on NEVER letting Jack do this. WAY too close to the back of the boat!

I am cracking up at those pictures. I might have to blackmail Andrea with the Tim McGraw one!!
